MINIS RUGBY PRACTICE IS HELD EVERY SUNDAY AT 12PM IN CANOAS PARK IN SAN JOSE

Mini Rugby is a form of non-contact 7-a-Side play.

Started in the 1970's, Mini Rugby has most recently had a re-birth in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Mini Rugby is for boys and girls ages 5-6 to 12-13.

Initiated by USARFU Youth Development Officer (YDO) Mike Sagehorn in the late 1990's, Mini Rugby was re-started in the Antioch/Pittsburgh area.

Currently, Mr. Sagehorn's Delta Youth Rugby Program consists of approximately 350 boys/girls who now play rugby. Peninsula Green Rugby initiated Mini Rugby on the San Francisco Peninsula (Menlo Park-Palo Alto).

Most recently, Brian McDonald has organized a mini rugby program here in San Jose!

The mini's rugby program will consist of kids between the ages of 5-13 and split into three different groups. For the most part this program is a touch program with the exception of the 11-13 year old kids who will be introduced to tackling towards the end (week5-6).

This is a 9 week program and children will be taught the fundamentals of passing and catching the balls and laws of the game.

If you have children who might be interested, please contact me via e-mail or (408) 994-0157.

Please forward this on to those who might have interest. We want to get the word out about the Seahawks Mini's.
