International
Housing
Valley Christian High School does not board students; each student
must be sponsored by a family in the South Bay Area, who will
be responsible for all out-of-school supervision, school business,
communication, and housing.
At least one of the adults in this
family must be 25 years or older and be granted Legal Guardian
status over the student throughout the school year.
It is required that the sponsoring family be interviewed before
the decision to accept a student will be granted.
VCS discourages students from changing
guardians/host families during the school year; students who change
guardians/host families may be asked to leave the school immediately.
Parents must privately arrange for
the placement of their student with a Legal Guardian. Valley Christian
Schools will, on occasion, seek to match a prospective student
with a possible Legal Guardian/Sponsoring Family from Valley Christian
Schools.
Although Valley Christian Schools
seeks to offer a list of quality homes for placement, the school
does not guarantee a successful placement.
If an international student is not
adjusting well to their sponsor or to Valley Christian Schools,
the student may be required to return to their country of origin.
