International
Admissions Process
Interviews
After all application documents have
been submitted, interviews are scheduled. Whenever possible, the
prospective student is interviewed. It is required that the sponsoring
family be interviewed before the decision to accept a student
will be granted.
Final Acceptance
Following the submission of all the
application requirements and the interview, the Admissions Committee
makes a decision regarding the applicant, typically within 2 weeks.
Upon approval, a letter of acceptance is sent.
Issuing the I-20
Upon acceptance to Valley Christian
High School, and after receipt of the International Student Administration
Fee, the I-20 will be issued to the student. This document is
the basis for receiving an F-1 visa status from the United States
Department of Homeland Security. Within two weeks of starting
school, the student is expected to secure medical insurance in
the U.S.
Athletic Eligibility
Valley Christian Schools is required
to meet policy requirements of the California Interscholastic
Federation (CIF) and the Central Coast Section (CCS). Valley Christian
High School must meet all athletic eligibility requirements of
the CIF and the CCS. International student applicants should request
an athletic eligibility determination before a final decision
to seek admission to Valley Christian Schools if school sports
team participation is desired.
