Film and Video
Participants in the field and video activity will overlap their classroom time with a lot of extra-curricular field work.
They will get hands-on experience in television, video and filmmaking.
Gaining "hands on" knowledge of the techniques of the
craft, both in-studio and in the field.
Effectively and creatively using video cameras and lenses and determining
scene selection and picture composition, a wide range of video production
techniques will be experimented with and learned. This includes:pre-production
(idea to script) through post-production (edit decision-making).
Final Cut Pro will be used for video editing to create a wide range
of projects, from news reports on school games and events, to commercials,
music videos, short films and more. They will experience the full
range of television and video production, from both sides of the
camera; as videographer, producer, talent resource and editor.
