6th Grade
INTRODUCTION TO BIBLE 6
(NIV Bible Compact Edition, Route 66)
This course is designed for students new or nearly new to studying the Bible. It will give students an overview of the
entire Bible and then a particular focus on Jesus Christ, the Bible’s central most important character, and greatest man
to have ever lived. The course is teacher directed with emphasis on student discovery of what God’s Word says to him
personally. It will create a solid foundation for future success in junior high and high school Bible courses.
BIBLE 6
(The Story of God’s People-The House of Israel Series, Christian Schools Int’l, The New International Version [NIV] is
the recommended Bible Text, Emphasis: God the Father)
Students become acquainted or reacquainted with the history of how the Bible is God’s inspired Word. They also learn
the books of the Bible, as well as how to navigate through the entire Bible. Students study the first five books of
the Old Testament, learning how God, the Father, is sovereign and how He provided for His chosen ones, the Jews. In
addition, their faith is challenged to realize that God is still sovereign over all and cares deeply for each one of
them. The Bible 6 curriculum complements the History 6 curriculum, which focuses on ancient civilizations. Bible 6
students meet four times a week in addition to attendance in a weekly chapel.

INTRODUCTION TO BIBLE 7
(NIV Bible Compact Edition)
This course is designed for students new or nearly new to studying the Bible. It will give students an overview of the
entire Bible and then a particular focus on Jesus Christ, the Bible’s central most important character, the
greatest man to have ever lived. The course is teacher directed with emphasis on student discovery of what God's Word
says to him personally. It will create a solid foundation for future success in junior high and high school Bible courses.
BIBLE 7
(The New International Version [NIV] is the recommended Bible Text, Emphasis: God the Son)
Seventh Grade Bible students examine the life of Christ Jesus. In class, we primarily study the gospel of Mark. This
book presents Jesus as the Man on the move in an action-packed, fast paced, amazing adventure. We learn about Jesus and
the relationship he desires to have with us. We are encouraged to respond to the call of Jesus: "Follow Me!" We examine
the strength He gives us during our challenges and the never-ending rewards He gives us as we obey Him. Along with the
in depth study of Mark, we read and overview Matthew, Luke and John.
8th Grade
BIBLE 8
(The New International Version [NIV] is the recommended Bible Text, Emphasis: God the Holy Spirit)
"Discover the Holy Spirit!" is the emphasis of the Bible 8 curriculum. This is an exceptional life application
study of the book of the Acts of the Apostles. Students discover that the Holy Spirit is a mighty helper and daily guide
for their lives. Doctrinal emphasis includes the person and work of the Holy Spirit, the birth of the Christian church,
evangelism and the spread of the gospel into "all the world." Life application areas include dealing with
peer pressure, family life issues, and building healthy friendships. Students are encouraged to consider God's
place, plan and purpose in their individual lives. Study guides and writing assignments in the form of "Family
Faith Interviews" enforce parental involvement in the spiritual formation of the student. Cooperative learning
teams, chapel presentations and lunch time sessions (Acts Too!) encourage practical application of the student's
faith-walk. Scripture memorization and reading of other Apostolic writings of the New Testament are assigned as well.
