Course Description Handbook 2008-09

Please click on the links below to take you to the appropriate department to review course descriptions. Many of our courses are approved by the University of California system. This approval is significant, because it determines if a course can be used by students to help satisfy college entrance requirements at both the UC and the California State University (CSU) systems. Courses that are listed as "pending" have been submitted for approval and are currently being reviewed by the UC system. The UC system does not recognize certain courses as a matter of policy. Any physical education course, any technology course (other than AP Computer Science), and any remedial course are not eligible for UC approval. These courses are still held to our own internal standards of excellence, so we encourage students to take any appropriate course. If you would like to discuss any specific schedule questions, please contact the counselor listed at the top of your Course Request Form.
